Christmas!!!

I don't know about the rest of you but Santa knew Brian and I were very good this year. Either that or Santa didn't check his list twice and some other poor Brian and Erin Lewis and got our coal when they've been good.

Christmas Eve, Brian and I helped his mom buy a Christmas tree and put it up. How can you have Santa come and not have a tree? After that we returned to our house to play games. We had a lot of fun playing Guestures. It's amazing how some things can be acted out. Even more amazing how blame is put on the other team mate when your loosing. After games, I kept with my family tradition of reading the first Christmas in the bible while drinking eggnog and sprite. This is when everyone went home. Brian and I then noticed the time that is was Christmas morning so we looked and saw that Santa came... so we opened presents before we went to bed.

I was shocked to have received the full collection of Jack Weyland books and my Twilight series has been completed so I don't have to borrow others anymore. I also got a great new digital frame and a device that hopefully will help me on the guitar. Santa put a coloring book and new crayons in my stocking too. I got a beautiful new watch that will be a new addiction to changing the bands. The movie The Note Book and a new game called Word on the Street.

Brian received a completed collection of Star Trek drinking glasses, an awesome UTE shirt, a new 3 in 1 coat. The entire series of Star Trek Voyager, the new movie of Star Trek, The new Harry Potter movie, the new Night at the Museum movie, Gizmo and a Ute tie in his stocking. Brian got some new toys for the wii.

Santa also got both Brian and I new Nintendo DS lite with games. Holly got us a Scentsy candle and some bubbly from mom. A beautiful family photo from Pete.

Neko was not missed from Santa either when she had her stocking full of treats and food. She also got some garland just for her to play in with great new toys and a Chia Pet of cat grass.

This year instead of buying gifts for my siblings as we discussed Brian and I did Angel Tree/Sub for Santa. We pulled two girls and three boys to buy Christmas gifts for.

On Christmas morning, my mom, Callie, Mike and Kim all came over for breakfast of Bacon and Rice and family tradition. After opening a few gifts and having a lot of laughs we did a train to G&G Collins where more laughs and hugs were found. Then the train ride continued to my mom's where we met up with Pete's family. After that we went to Brian's mom's and then ended with dinner at Cari's home with Brian's dad's side. Crazy and fun day and was glad to have been able to enjoy it with so many loved ones.

To all those I missed, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and we love you and are so glad you are a part of our lives.

Santa Clause is Coming to Town

It's Santa & Mrs. Clause!
You know it is Christmas time when Santa and his wife stop in for a quick visit. It was a big surprise to find that the elves put in a gift for Brian too. Mrs. Clause gave him a choice he could either sit on Santa or Mrs. Clause's lap but he had to sit on one of their laps if he wanted his gift. And what did he say he wanted for Christmas? "Revenge".

It was a lot of fun to see the kids sit on Santa's lap and am very grateful Santa could come to our house to start the season off with smiles on lots of faces. Colin was super cute when he kept asking Santa for a car. When he was told he needed to wait for his turn he just said ok and walked away. However, when he hear his name called to sit on Santa's lap he came running at full speed to tell him he wanted a car. Santa's elves did very good and had a car for him.

Cam and Ginger DeHaan

The Sunday before Thanks Giving. Cameron and Ginger were married. Ginger's two boys walked her down the isle and her daughter was the flower girl. Congratulations you two.

Thanks Giving Times Two!!

On Thanksgiving Day while Brian went to play football, I prepared the turkey at his wish. The end result was amazing!! The turkey had such a fantastic flavor and was so moist. I also made the dressing which turned out wonderful as well. Even those who don't like "stuffing" had more then one helping. Turkey Day one was spent with Brian's mom's side.

Thanks Giving number two. On Friday after I got off work, Brian and I drove up to Montana where we had Turkey Day two with my side of the family at Holly's house. It was a great group of people that all made it up there. Table sat 17!

Buckets O' Bones

Once a year, Wingers has the all you can eat wings. Brian discovered this about three years ago and has made it a tradition to have his brothers join him at this task of wing eating. As it just grosses me out, these boys have found it to be a challenge to beat their numbers from the prior year. This year those in the running were Noah who had 30 wings, Brian at 42 wings and Cam and Jim with 50 wings each. Proud moment? Well that all depends upon who you ask.

Happy Halloween!

So for Halloween this year it was a bit different for us. Brian wasn't able to go to the annual Halloween Party because he had to work. Then on Halloween night, Cari and Jeremy gave us their tickets to the Ute Black Out Game. It was a fun time and there were some very animated people around us. At one point we were a little afraid for the guys seat cushion when he started to beat it against the bleacher but it survived when they brought out Jordan as the QB. At that point the game turned around and the Utes beat the Wyoming Cowboys 22-10.

Sorry to all our nieces and nephews, we didn't get to see you in your cute costumes. I hope you had fun and you will all share photos.

Fun or Death Wish????

Saturday 8-1-09, Brian and I went to a cabin party at a co-worker's cabin. There was so much to do and so much fun to have.

When we first got there, we played on the zip line. Beware of the trees! video
In one round I whacked about four with my feet or back. Brian some how missed them all every time. There were swings and a slide too.
The slide was super slick (they waxed it down by rubbing wax paper on it). One girl face planted it after going down. This did not stop others from going after.
At one point, Ashley (my boss' daughter) was on the zip line, the rope got caught on the platform. In hopes that she wouldn't fall on the rocks below, I tried to help her off. This is where things went wrong. I was holding her so she could safely let go of the rope when it came free from the platform, that sent us going down the hill. I tried to hold my position but down I went loosing hold of Ashley as I tumbled down the rock filled hill side. Soon after, Ashley also lost her hold on the rope and too went "tumbling down". Needless to say, I hit several large rocks and am a bit sore now. But that didn't stop any of us from having fun.
After eating and a little bit of rest, we then walked to Donut Falls. Very slowly some of us walked. A few of the kids made it to the falls well before the adults, by the time we got there we found them in places we thought if they don't kill themselves from falling, their parents will kill them. The red dot at the top of the photo is Noah, who was only wearing flip flops at the time. After enjoying the beauty of the falls and having no fatalities we returned to the cabin where the kids got back on the zip line until we left for home.
We had great time and hope that Travis & Hanna will invite us back. This is why Brian doesn't get the camera often.
